v4.0.1 - Town Phase Overhaul


Major Update!

The game's town mode has received a significant overhaul, changing many aspects of how the game plays generally. The save format for the game has updated to support these changes, making saves incompatible between this version and prior versions.

Changelog

  • Town map updated - the town map is now a network of nodes rather than a simple six building slots.
  • Enemy movement - enemies will now move along the network of nodes until they reach a building or the center
  • Enemy appearances - enemies will now appear differently based on their color, both on the town map and in combat.
  • New buildings - new building types have been added.
    • Wall - does nothing but has double normal health.
    • Mechanic - repairs a damaged building each day.
    • Chaos Portal - allows you to purchase strange, randomized cards of dubious quality.
    • Mage Tower - deals damage to a nearby enemy each day.
    • Dust Collectors - generates dust for crafting cards each day. There is one for each color.
  • Building upgrades - buildings now start off rather weak, but can be upgraded
    • To upgrade a building, you must have the Architect built
    • To unlock an upgrade type, click on the Architect and click the upgrade you wish to buy
    • To apply the upgrade to a building, right-click on that building and click the upgrade you wish to apply
  • Construction changes - buildings now cost dust to build instead of requiring construction workers. Construction workers have been removed and buildings instead build after one in-game day.
  • Sounds - placeholder sounds have been added for all cards, and those sounds trigger when the cards are played.
  • Card retheming - many cards have been re-themed to accommodate their color identities.
  • Card rebalancing - a variety of cards have been rebalanced.
  • Bugfixes
    • Previously, if you had a minion with Defender, the enemy AI might become unable to attack altogether. This has been corrected.
    • Various animation glitches in combat have been corrected.

Above you can see the new town mode as well as the new placeholder enemy icons for yellow, black, and white enemies.
