v5.0.0 - Relics, art, and music!


Major Card Rebalancing

In this patch, we added Relics, powerful items with constant effects that persist across the entire campaign. Additionally, much of the art has been updated from the old placeholder art, and new music has been added. This version breaks the old save format, so be sure to delete your old saves if you update.

Changelog

  • Relics - The game now contains "relics," powerful game-altering items with a constant effect that lasts for the entire campaign. You earn relic tokens by defeating enemies (more for bosses) and can buy them at the relic shop with relic tokens. You must first construct the relic shop in order to buy them.
  • New enemy and map art - The art for all enemies (both in combat and on the map) has been updated from the old placeholder art. Additionally, the town mode has new art for the background, portals, and all buildings.
  • New UI art - The art for all UI elements has been updated from the old placeholder UI art.
  • New music - There is new music in the game. Boss music and victory music has been added.
  • Randomized card improvements - More rules have been applied to randomly generated cards so that they're not so bad/weird.
  • Architect menu UI cues - The architect menu now turns costs that you cannot afford red, and greys out the buttons for unaffordable upgrades.
  • Construction UI improvements - You can now see the names of buildings under construction by hovering the mouse over them.
  • Damage increase tweak - Effects that deal damage based on a minion's attack are now boosted by effects such as "increase the damage dealt by all your damaging effects by 1."
  • Blue starter deck improvements - The unlockable blue starter deck has been improved and should be better.

What's Next?

  • Lots of new starting decks that can be unlocked with the Turbulence difficulty system.
  • Voting for starting combat when in multiplayer.
  • Ability to see player health in town mode.
  • New Turbulence challenge.
  • Card phrasing and balance updates.
  • Adding rank of cards to the tooltips.
  • New cards.
  • Some minor bugfixes.
