UI/UX Cleanup and Addressing Public Demo Feedback
Addressed tons of feedback (explicit and implicit) from our public demo at Boston Festival of Indie Games, resulting in a lot of improvements to the UI/UX.
Changelog
- Town UI/UX improvements - the town mode now features a "click to move" system instead of using directional arrows. The selected path will be previewed on the map, and the tooltip will tell you what actions the enemies will take as you travel.
- Card playing UX improvement - clicks on cards in your hand are now "sticky" so you don't have to drag with the mouse held down to play a card.
- Hover to enlarge improvements - hovering a card to enlarge it no longer triggers while animations are playing.
- Increased text size on cards - text will auto-scale when there is too much to fit.
- Increased speed for some animations - card destruction animation has been doubled in speed.
- Hide DONE button during loot selection - clicking this on the loot screen would soft lock the game.
- Bugfixes - a number of bugs have been fixed
- Soft locks fixed - the game will no longer soft lock in combat after returning to the main menu from play.
- Animation fixes - certain animations that had stopped playing in the last version will now play again.
- Town map construction fixes - clicking to build could cause the player to move instead.
- Fixed some card bugs - countdown damage cards were not dealing damage to the player.
